How it works
- A stranger video-calls and records a few seconds, sometimes morphed.
- They threaten to send it to family, friends or work.
- Payment only leads to bigger demands.
Red flags
- Video calls from unknown numbers
- Short deadlines and threats
- Demands by UPI or gift cards
Stay safe
- Don't pay or reply. Block the number
- Keep screenshots as evidence
