How it works
- A message or call says you've won a prize or a policy bonus.
- A 'manager' asks for tax, GST or a processing fee.
- One fee leads to another. The prize never arrives.
Red flags
- Prizes you never entered for
- Fees, tax or GST before payment
- Foreign numbers such as +92
Stay safe
- Ignore, block and report the number
- Check policy matters only with your insurer's official number
- Never pay to receive money
